Rihanna‘s’ brand new makeup line has sent fans into a frenzy as they scramble to get their hands on the products.

And the reason why is very simple – Rihanna’s real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, meaning she has used her surname to head up the brand.

Rihanna rarely uses her last name professionally but has never hidden it from the public and even called her collection with sports brand Puma, Fenty x Puma.

Despite this, fans have been taking to Twitter to express their shock after finding out the real reason behind the Fenty Beauty name.

One wrote: “I feel like an idiot for not knowing that Fenty is Rihanna’s last name which is why her make up line is called Fenty Beauty.”

Another said: “Hahaha just found out that Fenty Beauty is named after Rihanna’s last name!! I thought it was a slang for hot.”

One fan even added: “Just found out Fenty is Rihanna’s surname and not just a made up word.”

While one simply tweeted: “Fenty is actually Rihanna’s last name. Mind. Blown.”

Fenty Beauty launched earlier this month in New York and the brand is said to target women of all skin tones, championing that “women everywhere would be included”.
