Asamoah Gyan cautions Emmanuel Boateng over current formBlack Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan has cautioned UD Levante football Star, Emmanuel Boateng not to be complacent with the fame he is enjoying now.

Boateng took the Spanish league by storm over the weekend with a spectacular performance for his team UD Levante in their 5-4 win over FC Barcelona at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia – where he netted a hat-trick.

The former Morierense forward’s impressive season has earned him his debut call-up to Ghana’s national team to play in this month’s friendlies.

Expressing his view on Emmanuel Boateng’s priories, Asamoah Gyan after heaping praises to the in-form Boateng, advised the latter not to be complacent with the fame he is enjoying now but should work extra harder in order to maintain his form:

“It is very easy to become a star but how to maintain it is the problem…so it’s up to him to prove to Ghanaians that he is good…he has scored a hat-trick in the Laliga and everybody is praising him but he shouldn’t be complacent but stay focused and work hard”, Gyan told Papa Maestro on Hot 93.9FM
