- – WhatsApp will be rolling out few new features in an update for both iOS and Andriod users.
- – Adding photo filters, automatic albums in chats, and the ability to send quick replies to messages and more.
After adding automatic albums in chats and the ability to send quick replies to messages in June, August looks good with filters for photos and a text status feature, an extract WhatsApp copied from Snapchat with its latest update.
The photo filters are probably the biggest of the latest updates; it lets you apply a filter to a picture, video, or GIF before you send it but I think for text lovers, your new status update would use some variety from background colours to font styles and a touch of emojis. Right now, there are only five options: Pop, B&W, Cool, Chrome, and Film, but it’s easy to imagine that WhatsApp could add more in the future.

Additionally, if you send multiple images or videos consecutively in a chat, they’ll now be automatically grouped into a single album (as seen below) instead of a stream of multiple inline images. Lastly, you can now swipe right on an individual message in a thread to directly respond to it, which could be useful for group chats.
And oh, you also find the right emoji with the emoji search. Tap the emoji icon in a chat and tap the search icon in the bottom left for fun!
The new features are still in test modes and will be rolled out soon. Have a look at some cool screen shots below.
