Before the date, the award-winning singer and mother of two, had put on an amorous front with her backing dancer beau Bryan Tanaka on stage during her joint tour with Lionel Richie at Madison Square Garden in New York.

For a hint of dazzle, she wore a quirky butterfly ring which caught glimmers of the light.
