A newly-released TV sport for Avengers: Infinity War shows Wakanda preparing for battle as they open up the gates of the once-isolationist country.
It is clearly evident due to the success of Black Panther, T’Challa, Okoye, Shuri, and M’Baku would heavily feature in the promos.
A funny moment in the trailer sees dialogue between T’Challa and Okoye: Okoye: “When you said we were going to open Wakanda to the rest of the world, this is not what I imagined.”
T’Challa: “What did you imagine?”
Okoye: “The Olympics…maybe even a Starbucks.”
Set to be the biggest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to-date, it is the penultimate film in the current incarnation of the MCU. The film brings together all of the Marvel superheroes from the previous films in the universe.
In the film, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers face their most powerful enemy yet, the evil Thanos.
Several of the black actors who portray heroes feature prominently in the trailer, including Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, Danai Gurira as Okoye and Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon. Don Cheadle will also appear is War Machine, Letitia Wright will feature as Shuri, Winston Duke appears as M’Baku and Zoe Saldana as Gamora.
