Ghanaian dancehall act and CEO of Bhim Nation, Livingstone Etse Satekla widely known as Stonebwoy Burniton, over the weekend, paid a courtesy call on the Great King of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Stonebwoy, at the premises of the Ashanti King, was seen dancing Adowa, a popular dance that is widespread among the Akan people and is performed during funerals and public social events.
The ‘Epistles Of Mama’ album maker was part of a delegation from Zylofon Media which joined the Asantehene and his people to celebrate the Akwasidae, a festival observed by the people of Asanteman.
An obviously excited Stonebwoy took to social media to ‘show off’ his meeting with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
“With His Royal Majesty King Of The Ashanti Kingdom Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, ” he captioned a photo on his social media.
In the photo, the Dancehall stalwart is seen in a warm handshake with the Asantehene. While the smiling Stonebwoy was dressed in an all black shirt and trousers with a vest on top, Otumfuo, as expected, was in a colourful kente cloth.
It was rumoured that Zylofon Media boss Nana Appiah Mensah used the opportunity to reunite Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
However, Stonebwoy in an interview with Accra-based Joy News recently indicated that he was never going back to Zylofon Media for reasons best known to him.
The artiste stated emphatically that he was done with the label and nothing was going to make him go back. Mor to come…
