Mr. Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC says though the vehicle didn’t play any role, he is aware the vehicle is being used by the office of the Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Maafo.
“NDC members are so carlous. I remember Kweku Baako’s paper reported that a mechanic at the presidency in Mahama’s administration was involved in the allocation of vehicles to party sympathizers like John Dumelo,” he explained.
“I can say it on authority the vehicle was indeed seized from Dumelo. It is now at the senior minister’s office after some initial maintenance. I am proud it is being used for official duties after we chased that young man the vehicle he acquired illegally,” he said on Accra based UTV.
Some vehicles believed to be state property in possession of some members of the NDC and former appointees of the erstwhile Mahama administration were seized in a similar fashion by the Presidential Taskforce.
They include the National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams, and Elvis Afriyie, a former Minister of Youth and Sports.
There were reports Abronye DC who led the team to seize the vehicles ordered their release after they have been sent to the Flag Staff House.
But Abronye dismissed that claim, saying the seized vehicles are being used for official purposes.
