BTS members have each launched individual Instagram accounts after it was announced that they would be taking an “extended period of rest.”
Each of the verified accounts attracted more than 4 million followers within hours, with singer V Kim Taehyung picking up the most by 3 p.m. GMT at 12.4 million.
Big Hit Music, which manages the band, announced on social media on Monday that the singers would be taking some time off to “recharge with creative energy,” with the intention of returning to work in early 2022.
“BTS focusing on preparing for the concert and release of the new album that will mark the beginning of a ‘new chapter,'” read the statement. “They are preparing for a concert this coming March to connect and communicate with the fans in-person in Seoul.”
Since the statement was released, singers Jungkook, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Suga, and RM have gone their separate ways—at least when it comes to social media.
