According to the Director of Communications, Office of the Vice President, Frank Agyei-Twum, the on-going advertisement on television screens and radio claiming the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be present at this year’s ‘Adonko’ Radio and Television Personality Awards where Patapaa has been billed to perform is false.
Reacting to the issue on his Facebook page, Mr. Agyei-Twum stressed in a comment under his post “RTP awards organisers…” saying “The Veep is NOT attending.”
Although the 7th edition of the Radio & Television Personality (RTP) Awards is scheduled for October 28, 2017, Mr. Agyei-Twum in a separate post has revealed that “The Vice President has nothing to do with the 2017 RTP awards and will not be present at the said ceremony.”
Other personalities invited to grace the occasion include Former President of Ghana-John Dramani Mahama, Rev. Dr. Boadi Nyamekye (Founder and Leader of Makers House Chapel) and other dignitaries.
