Controversies erupts after the nominees for the 19th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards were unveiled.
Many fans have showered praises on the VGMA board for bringing back one of Ghana’s most controversial act, Shatta Wale but while one dancehall artiste reunites with the board, it seems another wants to be used as a sacrifice…
Dancehall act Jupitar is not pleased with the nominations so far and he believes he has been cheated. One may wonder why a song which won an award outside the borders of Ghana cannot win trophies in its own land.
Well, that’s why it’s the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is a special type of awards festival in Ghana with lots of controversies.
Jupitar is mad because of his “Clowns” record which was sidelined for nominations this year won an award in UK. According to him, “VGMA board members are idiots and hypocrites..”
He revealed to his over 70k followers on micro-blogging site Twitter saying:
VGMA board, y’all bunch a idiots and hypocrites, I fucking submitted this time and it was a song that actually won big in U.K. (Clowns ), keep it up
