Zimbabwean wife, businesswoman and socialite Pokello Nare is challenging divorce proceedings by her estranged Ghanaian husband Elikem Kumordzie.
She filed a notice of intention to defend summons refusing to be divorced.
Elikem, 29, called their marriage a mistake after three years and filed for divorce through his representative Rugano Mahuni of Mahuni Gidiri Law Chambers. According to the divorce papers, he has lost love, affection and declared that his marriage to the “Queen of Swag” was irreparable.
Pokello, 32, placed a notice on September 28, after she was served with the summons, disagreeing with the content in the divorce papers.
In her notice, Pokello said: ” Be pleased to take note that the defendant has entered an appearance to defend the above action on this 28th day of September.”
No further details were given.
Meanwhile, court documents suggest her estranged ‘tailor’ husband whom she met during Big Brother Africa (BBA) in 2013 claims she is jealous wife who was harming his professional work as she mostly got uncomfortable when he plays romantic roles in movies.
The two lovebirds have been on separation for the past year while Pokello enjoys good company with her rumoured boyfriend Rondon.
Pokello’s husband Elikem also wants a divorce decree order that custody of their minor child be awarded to her with him exercising reasonable access on agreed holidays. He also wants to pay $500 monthly as maintenance.
Pokello and Kumordzie were married under the Marriages Act at Harare on September 28, 2015, and the marriage still subsists.
They did not acquire any movable property together.
NetbuzzAfrica.com is also informed that Pokello’s decision to challenge the divorce is as result of Elikem’s behaviour towards her business contacts, especially when rumours are linking one secret lover Ronald to her frequent trips to Dubai.
