My mother asked me to forgive Daddy Lumba for cheating – Ampong has revealed.

Ghanaian gospel musician Great Ampong claimed in the past that highlife musician Daddy Lumba owes him an amount of 3.6 billion old Ghana cedis and has vowed to take it from him.

Isaiah Ampong and Daddy Lumba became enemies after the highlife legend run away with all the monies they made from the launch of their joint album titled “Hossana.”

Great Ampong described the legendary highlife musician as a cheat who manipulated him into collaboration but refused to pay him his share of the money. “He asked me to collaborate with him to thank God after recovering from his sickness and this was on phone.”

“I later went over to his home and we sat and spoke about it and even though we suggested we split 50/50, I told him because he was my older brother we should go on 60/40 percentage”.

According to Great Ampong, he felt he wasn’t too healthy so nothing moved him to sit and put the agreement on paper, therefore, it was agreed verbally.

The Gospel singer in a new interview has revealed that he has forgiven the highlife legend for cheating on him because his mother has adviced him to do so.

Ampong was speaking in an interview with Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio when he indicated his mother has cautioned him not to talk about the money but leave all into the hands of God.

“My mother said I should not talk about my issue with Daddy Lumba again so, for now, I have decided not to talk about it. I won’t take the money again but God is in control over everything.”

He further stated that forgiving and forgetting Daddy Lumba is the best he could do but God will intervene for him.

Ampong is currently supporting his wife who has just given birth to help raise the kids and will soon be back to release new songs.
