Ghanaian actress and TV personality cum radio host, Joselyn Dumas, has been sacked from Multimedia Group’s Joy FM, seven months after joining the Accra-based radio station.
Although it was expected by many staff members, this comes as a shock to many fans that were promised of exciting times ahead in radio and television production as the talented personality joined one of their favourite media hubs. But according to insider reports, Ms. Dumas’ failure to produce the needed results as expected of her led to an abrupt termination of her contract.
Joselyn Dumas joined the Multimedia Group in March 2018 and was poised to propel the station to new heights but unfortunately, she couldn’t live up to task as her frequent traveling also became another problem for the station.
Described as a ‘talented presenter’ Ms Dumas, the award-winning actress until the termination of her contract was assigned to Naa Ashorkor and Sammy Forson’s shows to help transform the flagship radio programs on Joy FM.
She also joined Lexis Bill as the co-host of the station’s late afternoon show, Drive Time on Joy FM to add bits of her sauce to her offering but still couldn’t prove her worth.
While she was billed to host shows on Joy News and Joy Prime respectively, many of the staff members were not entirely clear of her role at Joy FM hence believed she was either positioned to try so hard and fit in or perhaps she was looking for a joy ride into a new field for relevance.
“Her signing was unnecessary as there were enough hands capable of executing her assigned tasks,” some staff members disclosed.
