The EMAs 2017 event was held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Eastern Premier Hotel-Koforidua in grand style and it saw performances from Kasiebo as well as other billed performers.
Asare Emmanuel Lartey, popularly known as Kasiebo was crowned the ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year’ at the just ended maiden edition of the Eastern Music Awards 2017.
Competing for the title with other budding artistes Blaq Nacha Runks, Chulu Lion, F9, Kojo Siego and Mr. Linguai the ‘Redemption Prayer’ hitmaker emerged winner taking home the topmost award in the category.
The event organized by HI5 Production had its red carpet session hosted by Jah Solo and Eminado.
Kasiebo recorded his first mixtape Gyptian Hold Yuh at Pgee studios back in 2009 and he has since been consistent with creative music releases while growing his fan base.
Signed by Jagonzy Iconz Production, Kasiebo has more than 5 songs to his credit that enjoys rotation on various platforms.
Other winners on the night included Koo Ntakra who emerged as the biggest artiste of the year from the Eastern Region bagging both the “Best Rapper” and “Artist of the Year” awards.
Multiple award-winning dancehall artiste and Hilife act, Shatta Wale and Bisa Kdei were also awarded for their great contribution, taking home Most influential Artiste of the year and Projecting Highlife music awards respectively.
