The Igbo Nsukka United Front, INUF, has set up an economic think-tank to research and unearth the industrialization potentials of all communities and local government areas in Enugu North Senatorial District as well as design a detailed plan with feasibility studies on how to establish industries peculiar to each community.
It also requested indigenes with a well-prepared business proposal on any entrepreneurial venture to be cited in Nsukka zone to forward such to the INUF leadership, assuring that all business plans sent to [email protected] before December 31, 2020, shall be forwarded to the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to help facilitate a Federal Government grant for each of the entrepreneurs.
This formed part of resolutions reached the first Igbo Nsukka Economic Summit held at the prestigious Princess Alexandra Auditorium, UNN, where INUF also expressed readiness to train farmers and intending agricultural entrepreneurs who desire to learn about mechanized and modern farming systems that are cost-effective and highly profitable. It called on such persons to send their full details to the same email address, assuring that they will be moved to Abuja where they will learn these skills at no cost and with free accommodation.
“That those who have learned very well in their chosen area in Agriculture after the training period in Abuja shall be assisted to secure a grant from the Federal Government and empowered with improved seedlings and fertilizers/feeds. That those who couldn’t go to Abuja be scheduled for intensive 5-day training in Nsukka from the 23rd February 2021,” read the resolution endorsed yesterday by INUF National President, Hon.
