Mr. Amissah-Arthur who served under the John Mahama administration from August 2012 to January 2017 died Friday morning.

He is reported to have collapsed at the Air Force Gym early Friday and was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Family members and people close to the situation at the 37 Military Hospital have confirmed the news while describing the atmosphere as “shocking”.

President Nana Akufo-Addo posted on Facebook to express shock at the news.Former Veep Kwesi Amissah-Arthur dies at 67

Profile of Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur

Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur is a Ghanaian economist, academic and politician who was the sixth Vice-President of Ghana, in office from 6 August 2012 until 7 January 2017, under President John Dramani Mahama. Previously he was Governor of the Bank of Ghana from 2009 to 2012.

He was sworn in as Vice-President on 6 August 2012, following vetting by the Parliament of Ghana. He was nominated by President John Dramani Mahama to be the vice-president a week after Mahama himself was sworn in.This followed the sudden death of John Atta Mills on 24 July 2012.

Amissah-Arthur was born  April 29,  1951 at Cape Coast, the capital of the Central Region of Ghana. His mother is from the Hutchful family and his father is from the Amissah-Arthur family.

Both families originated from Cape Coast. He completed his secondary education at the Mfantsipim School, where he obtained the GCE Ordinary Level in 1969 and the GCE Advanced Level in 1971. He proceeded to the University of Ghana at Legon, where he obtained the B.Sc. in 1974 and M.Sc. in 1976, both in Economics.

Revelation: NDC will sacrifice Amissah-Arthur – Owusu Bempah

Following his prophecy regarding the death of a former President of Ghana, Founder and leader of the Glorious Word Ministry International Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah took it a notch higher to elaborate on the manner in which Mr. Amissah-Arthur’s demise would occur, it has emerged.

In an earlier interview on Accra based Atinka FM, Rev. Owusu Bempah alleged that steps were underway to use the former Vice President as a sacrificial lamb for the operations of his party, the National Democratic Congress.

He noted that the NDC were undergoing some spiritual operations which would require a human sacrifice; especially an individual of great standing within the party.

Although he did not disclose the identities of the individuals spearheading the charge, Rev. Owusu Bempah noted that it would likely occur before or after the 2020 elections.

“…I God revealed something to me about the vice president and I believe one of the NDC boys recorded it, so it is true I prophesied about the death of the Vice President.

The NDC is using him as a sacrificial lamb for something there are doing spiritually, the NDC are doing something and they need to sacrifice the blood of a prominent person in the country, so I will advise that he see’s men of God to pray with him, he shouldn’t take this lightly.

What happened is, some people have performed some rituals to change the fortune of the NDC spiritually and so if our father, Amissah Arthur does not seek for spiritual help, the thing might happen either before or after the elections.

So I will plead that he takes this serious because they same thing happened when I prophesied about the late president Atta Mills’ death people did not take me serious.

I want Mr. Amissah to take this serious, if he is in doubt he can ask any pastor around him and verify whether what I am saying is true or not.

The man’s life is important to me, even though I have not met him before we cannot sit and watch this happen because of power so the man should be careful.

I do not know his house or have his number and I do not know how I can get to him and that is why I am saying this here, anybody who has access to him and hears of this should let him know and he should act on it swiftly because God reveals to redeem.

I would have looked for him but I do not know his house or office and if he hears of this and calls for me I will gladly accept his invite.

I believe if he takes this serious and pray about it, God will redeem him but if he doesn’t then we are all here, we will see what will happen.” He stated
