The Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Catherine Afeku says dancehall musician, Ebony, would be given a befitting burial.
She has however cautioned against the sharing of the accident images on social media.
A statement issued on Friday said, “We will consult with the family to give our songstress a befitting send-off.”
“I wish however to caution against the indiscriminate sharing of the accident images and ask that we respect the sanctity and dignity of our dear departed Sister in this very difficult time,” the statement said.
She also expressed her sympathy to the family of Ebony, saying “We mourn with the family and pray for God’s strength and guidance.”
Ebony died on Thursday night along with two others when the Jeep vehicle they were traveling on collided with a VIP bus at Mankraso in the Brong Ahafo Region.
She was returning from a visit to her mother in Sunyani.
Social media have since gone agog with industry players and colleagues of the late songstress paying tribute to her.
Sonnie Badu, Sarkodie, Nana Ama Mcbrown, Van Vicker, Kofi Kinaata, Kafui Danku, Afia Schwarzenegger, others took to Instagram to express their shock.
