Giant event organizers, Charterhouse, has rendered an apology to disappointed patrons at the just ended Ghana Rocks concert where Nigerian artiste’s didn’t show up at the event.
According to the communication lead at Charter House, George Quaye, although acts for the night performed as advertised, Burnaboy’s absence was due to a sudden illness as communicated by his mother.
“According to his mother who happens to be his manager, Burnaboy could not perform at the event not out of disrespect to his fans or to Charterhouse but had gotten caught in a stampede at an event the night before and inhaled some tear gas which the police had used to control and disperse the crowds.”
“This caused an adverse reaction on him that got him rushed to the hospital in the morning, causing him to miss the earlier arranged morning flight to Accra. In anticipation of his discharge, the flight was rescheduled to evening. When they could not make the evening flight either, arrangements were made for an emergency private charter flight to get him here at all cost for his performance at Ghana Rocks. We were hopeful he would be part of the show as the last act till all efforts fell through at the last minute,” a statement released by Charter house says.
Charterhouse continued to assure their fans while making their apology brief. “As a firm believer that has always believed in creating magic at every touch point, we owe it a duty to apologize to you our patrons who were left disappointed, and hope that you find it in your hearts to pardon us.”
