The church established by Ofori Amponsah has turned into a beer bar, Ghanaian highlife musician, Kofi B has revealed.
Kofi B also revealed that his colleague, Mr All 4real was never called by God like he claimed but rather he established the church purposely to get tithe and offerings.
In his view, if Ofori Amponsah was truly called, he would not have abandoned the work of God and come back to his highlife music.
“The church is now operating as a pub where people go there to drink and engage in all kinds of activities,” he insisted.
“Why should someone called by God, abandon God’s work and come back and do highlife music? What wrong has God done to you to give up his work?” he quizzed.
The “Bantama Akwasi Boakye” hitmker also alleged that Ofori Amponsah ordained himself. He adds that the founder of Family of Faith and Love Ministries rushed in becoming a man of God.
“He was not called. He established his church because of the offertory and the tithes. I have never seen men of God abandon their work.” “The likes of Otabil and Tackie Yarboi are still working for God,’’ he added.
Meanwhile, Kofi B believes that the work of God is for men with integrity and those who are spiritually strong but Ofori Amponsah’s recent behaviour towards God’s calling has exposed him to the world. He has failed the integrity test as a man of God.
Five years ago, highlife singer Ofori Amponsah stunned Ghanaians and the world with his born-again confession. He later came out with a single ‘Alewa’ featuring Africa’s most sought-after rapper Sarkodie confessing his comeback to secular music. Although he came under heavy criticism over the decision to make secular music again, he hasn’t been bothered much about what people say.
Ofori Amponsah has been signed to Guru’s NKZ Music record label on a 5-year deal.
