Ghana-based award-winning Liberian Afrosoul singer/songwriter turned entrepreneur, Irene Logan, is set to launch her omni-channel retail company, Tribassa at a private event in Accra on the 1 November 2019. The launch event will introduce the Tribassa group of companies which will include art, luxury fashion and home goods, retail outlets, and mobile applications inspired by African design and culture. The company plans to use technology as a platform to connect sophisticated consumers to the product collection which will be available online and at select retail outlets.
“I am creative at heart, whether it is singing, songwriting, poetry, or designing it all comes from the same place. I am also very passionate about Africa and changing the perception of how the world views us as Africans. The Tribassa brand represents, Africa To The World and every piece from the collection represents “Us” in an urban, authentic and global way. We want the world to know and experience our continent like never before,” shares Logan, the founder of Tribassa who has an international music career spanning over 13 years.
Authentic statement pieces from the Tribassa collection will be on display during the launch which will provide unique insight into African culture through the products.
“I am a true reflection of the beauty that can emerge from the horrors of war and conflict we see in the headlines about Africa. I experienced the civil war in Liberia as a child and came to Ghana as a refugee. It was art and music that helped me to rise above my past experiences. Tribassa is my story and the story of so many others on this continent who are beautiful, innovative and valuable but are too often ignored,” adds Logan.
Following the launch in Accra, Tribassa will be introduced in Milan, Italy and New York and will soon be available online.
