TripAdvisor^® has revealed their annual list of the world’s best airlines.

The travel planning and booking site have recognized winners of its Traveler’s Choice awards for airlines identifying travelers’ favourite carriers around the globe.

Although you may have all heard the bizarre stories of lost baggage, questionable airplane meals, and, of course, an utterly terrifying incident of David Dao who was physically removed from a United flight last year, air travel companies really do make traveling feel like a first-class experience everywhere amid their various differences.

Using an algorithm that analyzed reviews and ratings submitted by travelers over a 12-month period on TripAdvisor Flights, the booking company has been able to tally its final results sighting an overall honor of 69 airlines, and even recognized the best airlines in seven regions across the globe.

The World’s Best Airlines for 2018 according to TripAdvisor reviews reveal Singapore Airlines as Best in the World whereas Southwest is Top U.S. Airline.

Singapore is up from number two in the 2017 TripAdvisor Best Airlines in the World List. Last year’s top airline, Emirates, slipped to number three on this year’s ranking while Air New Zealand, which ranked number five on the 2017 list, moved up to the number two spot this year.

Southwest Airlines was the only United States-based airline to crack the top 10 list in 2018 placing 6th.

TripAdvisor also announced award-winning airlines in specific categories. Singapore Airlines was awarded best first class and best economy class, while Qatar was voted best business class and Air New Zealand was recognized for the best premium economy. Check out the rest of the winners below.
