American songstress, rapper and mother, Cardi B, has rubbished naysayers claiming she left popular Ghanaian people stranded at a proposed ‘meet and greet’ session in Accra last Sunday.
Contrary to reports that suggested some selected showbiz personalities were stranded because the rapper refused to show up, Cardi B has officially rubbished the report saying ‘that wasn’t part of her contract,” and also she had no intentions to keep anyone waiting.
Many local Ghanaian celebrities thronged the Kempinski Hotel in Accra in a much-anticipated interaction session with the star – real name, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar – who was billed to perform at the Livespot X Festival same day at the Accra Sports Stadium Sunday night.
Some of the disappointed celebrities, in their anger, took to social media to express their satisfaction with the development and condemned the rapper for no apparent reason leaving the organizers to walk free.
The celebrities were peeved mostly because Cardi B was eating khebab at the hotel’s poolside while they stood in the basement of the hotel hoping to meet her for more than 5 hours.
Cardi B who found this development interesting also noted in her reaction that, the promoters of the event did not inform her about a scheduled meet and greet with celebrities, adding that it was not in her nature to disrespect others as they claim.
Meanwhile, Cardi B, regardless of the unfortunate situation has showered praises on Ghana for being a country worth staying in due to the beatific peace enjoyed by the country.
