President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Groupe Nduom (GN), a multinational conglomerate, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has hinted that GN will soon bring on stream a new company to take care of the automobile industry in the country.
He said, “if everything works according to plan, then, GN Automobile Centre which is located at Elmina in the Central Region will be operational by mid-2018”.
The business mogul disclosed this yesterday during a special interview session on Eezy 107.5 FM in Accra.
He said, “the automobile centre will start with servicing of vehicles, and training of artisans in fixing computerized electronic cars which has become the order of the day due to the Information, Communication Technology (ICT) era we find ourselves in”.
“As you can see most of the vehicles the companies (GN entities) use are Ford and Fiat. We will start with it, and as time goes on, we will begin to assemble the cars here in Ghana”, he indicated.
“Our products will be very unique from the rest in the industry. We are coming up with customized big buses with comfortable chairs and fittings which will enable occupants to sleep, sell or do other events”, the celebrated Ghanaian entrepreneur added.
Dr. Nduom said his outfit will also build a one stop-shop educational complex comprising, crèche, kindergarten, primary, and Secondary to offer quality and sound education for the people of Elmina and its environs.
According to him, “the establishment of the educational complex has been his long cherished dream, and thankfully it will soon become a reality”.
He assured students who will gain admission to Nduom School of Business & Technology (NSB&T) come January 2018, of internship opportunities to acquire practical working experience, and a possible job placement at the end of their course.
“I invite qualified students to apply to NSB&T because the kind of offers we have, no university in the country has that”, he said.
The NSB&T sited at Ayensudo in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) Municipality in the Central Region sits on a 100-acre land.
It has lecture halls, an administration block, a cafeteria, a library and an auditorium. It was officially opened for admission on December 6, 2017.
