Ghanaian fashion designer, Elikem Kumordzie, the Tailor, has finally filed for divorce from her Zimbabwean wife Pokello Nare last month.
The Tailor is calling their marriage a mistake after three years of romance both in private and on social media.
Elikem who filed for divorce at the High Court in Zimbabwe on September 13, is represented by Rugano Mahuni of Mahuni Gidiri Law Chambers. According to the divorce papers, he has lost love, affection and declared that his marriage to the “Queen of Swag” was irreparable.
Although he no longer want to be part of the ‘swagger’ family, he wants a divorce decree order that custody of their minor child be awarded to Pokello with him exercising reasonable access on agreed holidays paying $500 as maintenance.
Elikem Kumordzie and his ex-wife to-be Pokello Nare have been on separation for the past year residing in different countries.
“Plaintiff and defendant were married to each other under the Marriages Act at Harare on September 28, 2015 and the marriage still subsists.”

“Plaintiff and defendant were married to each other under the Marriages Act at Harare on September 28, 2015 and the marriage still subsists.”
“…such is regarded by Kumordzie to be incompatible with the continuation of a normal marriage relationship.”
“As a result Kumordzie has lost love and affection to the extent that there are no prospects for reconciliation due to irretrievable differences between the parties.”
Elikem adds that it was favourable that their two-year-old son, Tristan Tasimba continues residing with Pokello.
“There is one child born of the marriage and it is in the best interest of the minor child that custody be awarded to Pokello with Kumordzie allowed access whenever he visits Zimbabwe.”
Elikem and Pokello did not acquire any movable property together.
The 29-year-old Elikem and Pokello, 32, met in the Big Brother Africa house in 2013 and got engaged in 2014. They later followed up with the traditional marriage in 2015.
Earlier this year, Elikem was quoted saying his marriage to Pokello was a mistake after netbuzzafrica.com shared a photo of Pokello’s secret lover, Ronald Muzambe.
Pokello who has been frequenting Dubai in the past two month spending time her new lover although Rondon’s friends suggest the relationship is no longer as hot as earlier this year is yet-to-be bothered with the divorce papers.
