‘Not Going Anywhere’: Man United Manager on Bruno Fernandes’ Future
Amorim Confirms Bruno Fernandes’ Commitment to United Amid Transfer Speculation
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been assured by manager Ruben Amorim that he will not be leaving the club, despite recent speculation linking him to Real Madrid.
Fernandes, 30, has been a crucial figure for United since joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2020, scoring 95 goals in 277 appearances. Although his contract runs until 2027, reports have suggested a potential £90 million move to the Spanish giants.
“No, it’s not going to happen,” Amorim stated emphatically. “I want Bruno here because, even in the lowest moments of our season, he impressed. We want to win the Premier League again, so we want the best players to stay with us.”
Amorim praised Fernandes for his consistency and impact, highlighting his remarkable contribution of goals and assists.
“He’s 29, but still so young in terms of performance. He plays 55 games a season and contributes at least 30 goal involvements. He’s the type of player we want, and he’s not going anywhere,” Amorim added.
The United boss also emphasized that the club has full control over the situation and expressed confidence that Fernandes is happy at Old Trafford.
With Amorim’s clear stance, it appears United fans can put any concerns about their captain’s future to rest.
