The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has arrested Nii Baah Afful, the man caught on camera brutally assaulting a woman carrying a baby in a shocking video that has sparked widespread public outrage.

The disturbing footage, which circulated rapidly on social media, showed Afful striking the woman multiple times with a stick, as she struggled to protect herself and the infant.

Reports suggest that the violent attack was triggered after the woman ended their relationship, stating that she had found a new partner who was “more handsome and responsible.”

The viral video prompted immediate calls for law enforcement intervention, with advocacy groups and citizens demanding justice for the victim.

Responding to the uproar, the Greater Accra Regional Police Command swiftly moved to locate and arrest Nii Baah Afful. He is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
