Ghanaian contemporary gospel singer Ohemaa Mercy says thoughts of divorcing her husband has crossed her mind on on several occasions.
Ohemaa Mercy is married to Isaac Twum-Ampofo and just like many happily married couple, she fights occasionally and get ‘angry’ when she has to.
According to the ‘Aseda’ singer, one fight she recalls startes when her husband passed a funny comment about her dress when they were going for an event.
“My husband jokingly passed that comment but I did take not it lightly at all. I was hurt and thought about leaving, but she prays often and that helps her when she’s having such bad moments” she said.
“Prayer answers everything and I believe this is what has helped us so far. Although we fight we are able to resolve our differences,” she said in an interview.
Meanwhile, she has admitted that her husband has been very supportive of her career.
“My husband is my pillar and has been supportive. I thank God I met him and I love him dearly.”
She was speaking in an interview with Agyeman Prempeh on Power FM.
Ohemaa Mercy, known in private life as Mercy Twum-Ampofo, is set to host the sixth edition of her Tehillah Experience concert, scheduled for the Calvary Temple of the ICGC, Spintex on August 11.
Lebo Sekgobela from South Africa, Michael Mahendere of Zimbabwe and Evelyn Wangiru from Kenya are other names listed as this year’s international artistes who will grace the event.
