Ghanaian Highlife musician Kofi B reported deadHighlife musician, Kofi B, has passed away according several reports in Ghana.

The artist died during the early hours of Sunday, February 2, 2020.

Born Kofi Boakye Yiadom, preliminary reports indicates that Kofi B who had not been well for some time now met his untimely death while preparing for performance at a Chief’s birthday party in Cape Coast.

Kofi B was known for hit songs such as Mmbrowa, Bantama Kofi Boakye, Koforidua Flowers and counted Amakye Dede, Kojo Antwi, Ofori Amponsah and the late Opampuo as his inspirations.

What killed Highlife musician Kofi B

According to a new report Kofi B died as a result of a heart attack.

He is said to have complained of chest pains and usual heartbeat a before the performance at Cape Coast on Sunday.

The report  from Kofi Nti, a close friend of the deceased also added that he was admitted at the Cape Coast hospital where he was kept on oxygen and given some injection because he had a problem with breathing.

But unfortunately he wasn’t responding to all the efforts from the doctors which led to his death.

Ghanaian celebrities and music lovers took to  micro-blogging site Twitter to mourn the death of highlife singer Kofi B.

Kofi Nti, colleague to the  late musician narrated that the multi-awarded musician who passed Sunday complained of chest pains and unusual heartbeat before his death.

Kofi B died in Kofi Nti’s arms at 3:14 a.m. on Sunday ahead of their scheduled performance in Cape Coast.

He was restless with very high body temperature and an unusual blood pressure 150/120.

His body has been transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for storage and autopsy.
