According to reports, an old school prefect of the Achimota School in Accra has moved to the United States of America to get married to his gay partner and also to stay away from stigma in the Ghanaian society.

Stephen Kabutey Ofoi Ceasar Is believed to be the head boy for the 1993/94 batch at Achimota School in Accra.

Pictures of his civil wedding have started flooding social media with some sections of Ghanaians expressing disgust whiles others are full of praise for the bold decision to tie the knot with the love of his life.

His move to the United States of America could be because Ghana may move to criminalize the act as the Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Mike Ocquaye has spoken ill about the act.

The Ghanaian society frowns on the act and stigmatises individuals who are involved because it is alien to the culture of the country. Some gays have been subjected to beatings in several places in Ghana in some time past.
